390 new COVID-19 cases yesterday

Yesterday’s 3,774 COVID-19 tests resulted in 390 positive outcomes, according to the latest figures from the Chief Medical Officer.

All have been notified by the Health Authorities.

There are currently 1985 active COVID-19 cases in the Faroe Islands. 9 people infected with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of which 5 are hospitalized because of COVID-19 and the other 4 are hospitalized for other reasons.

A change has been made in the registration of the corona statistics. The number of inpatients will in the future show the number of people admitted because of corona. And therefore, the number of people who are hospitalized for other reasons, are not included in the corona statistics for the Faroe Islands.
